Diploma in Mental health & psychiatry nursing – requirements and campuses
A diploma in mental health and psychiatry nursing is a three year nursing course offered at KMTC with a specility in Mental health and psychiatry.
The first year and second year first semester covers the regular nursing practice while second year first semester and third year offers comprehensive training in mental health, mental illnesses prevention, mental illness diagnosis, psychiatric nursing, and more.
To be eligible for enrollment into the course, you need to have a KCSE mean grade of C plain or above, C plain in english or Kiswahili, C plain in Biology, and C minus in either chemistry, physics, or mathematics.
Holders of a certificate in Kenya Enrolled community health nursing are also eligible.
