Diploma in community health requirements & campuses

A diploma in community health is offered in the department of health promotion and community health. Don’t confuse Diploma in community health with diploma in community health nursing. These two lead to different career fields.

Community health lean more on community health practice equiping students with skill in conducting health education, diseases prevention, and enviromental health rather than patient care. Community health nursing cuts across community health and patients care and it regulated by the Nursing Council of Kenya.

KMTC requirements for diploma in community health

  1. A KCSE mean grade of C plain or above
  2. C minus in English/Kiswahili
  3. D plus in biology
  4. D plain in either mathematics, chemistry, agriculture, physics, or homescience
