However, besides having a KCSE mean grade of minus, there are are specific subject requirements that you have to meet to qualify but this does not apply to all courses. For example, you only need a KCSE mean grade of C minus to qualify for a diploma course in Mortuary science.

1. Certificate in medical engineering – At least C minus in KCSE with C minus in any language (English/Kiswahili), D plain in mathematicds, D minus in Physics, and D plus in either chemistry, biology, electricity, metal work, or technical drawing.
2. Certificate in enrolled community health nursing – At least C minus in KCSE plus C- in either English or Kiswahili, C- in Biology, and D+ in either Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
3. Diploma in mortuary science – C minus in KCSE
4. Diploma in nutrition and dietetics – KCSE C minus and D+ plus in English or Kiswahili, D+ in Biology, D+ in Chemistry, and D plain in either home science, agriculture, mathematics, physics, or general science.
5. Certificate in nutrition and dietetics – D plus in KCSE with D+ in English or Kiswahili, D plain in Biology, D plain in Chemistry, and D plain in Home science, Agriculture, physics, mathematics, or general science.
6. Certificate in orthopaedic and trauma medicine – C minus in KCSE with C minus in English/Kiswahili, C minus in Biology/Biological sciences, and D plus in either mathematics, physics, chemistry, woodwork, metalwork, home science, agriculture, technical drawing, or computer studies.
7. Certificate in community health assistant – C minus in KCSE with D plus in English/Kiswahili, D plain in Biology/Biological sciences, and D plain in either mathematics, physics, chemistry, home science, or agriculture.
8. Certificate in health records and information technology – At least a KCSE mean grade of C minus plus C minus in English/Kiswahili, C minus in Mathematics, and D plus in either physics, chemistry, home science, agriculture, economics, Geography, commerce, and business studies, general science or computer studies.
